Licensed Acupuncturist in Catalina, AZ | Chinese Herbal Medicine | Qigong & Martial Arts Instructor

Rani Flinn is a licensed acupuncturist and experienced practitioner of classical Chinese medicine, proudly serving the Catalina and Tucson, Arizona communities. Her journey began in 2009 with in-depth study through the North American Tang Shou Tao Association (NATSTA), where she trained in internal martial arts and traditional East Asian healing practices. After spending much of her 30s bedridden and later being diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, Rani experienced profound healing through the internal arts and therapeutic systems passed down through the NATSTA lineage. These experiences inspired her to pursue formal training in Chinese medicine.

Rani earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2016, completing a mentorship in Classical Chinese Herbology and expanding her foundation in herbal, hands-on, and energetic therapies.

From 2009 to 2011, she trained intensively in Thailand, earning a Certified Advanced Practitioner Teacher (CAPT) certification in Thai massage from ITM in Chiang Mai. She also practiced professionally at Miraval Wellness Resort in Tucson from 2017 to 2021, offering acupuncture, Thai massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and Jin Shou Tuina™.

In her Catalina, AZ clinic, Rani offers holistic services including:

  • Acupuncture & Cosmetic Acupuncture
  • Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy
  • Micro-Needling
  • Jin Shou Tuina™
  • CranioSacral Therapy
  • Thai Massage
  • Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine

Rani also teaches Qigong, Bagua, Taiji, and Thai massage, drawing from advanced training in lineages such as Taijiquan (Yang Shao-Hou), Xingyiquan (Shen Long and Soft Body Style), and Baguazhang (Liang Zhenpu and Cheng School Gao). Her internal arts background also includes San Miguel Eskrima, medical Qigong, neigong, and longevity practices. She leads seminars and workshops throughout the year, sharing lineage-based instruction in Jin Shou Tuina™, Nuad Boran, and CranioSacral Therapy as taught in the NATSTA tradition.

With over 15 years of clinical and teaching experience, Rani combines classical knowledge with personalized care. Her practice reflects a deep commitment to healing, education, and the preservation of traditional medicine systems.

Dr. Cooper

The classic of Chinese medicine, the "Huang Di, Nei Jing" or "The Yellow Emperor's Classic on Internal Medicine,"  states that the superior physician guards the interior.  Dr. Cooper, as a Shih Tzu, was bred to do exactly the same.
